As part of a feasibility study for our HLF project, we need to find out if we have enough volunteers for events.
The Education Team have planned a Pack for local schools and this includes a children’s/family 1940s Audio Tour where you can hear (via earphones on SMART phones and Tablets) 10 voice scenarios with different Wallasey characters such as Fr Mullins, E Bower-Norris (the architect), and merchant seamen back from the Battle of the Atlantic paying a visit to thank God for safe passage etc…etc.… The aim is to show visitors the significance of this Catholic church for ordinary people during WWII.
In order to allow more people to access this tour, and the volunteer guided tour, we are proposing to engage a vintage Wallasey bus to bring people from New Brighton to The Dome on three consecutive Saturdays. The proposed dates are 26th August, 2nd September and 9th September. We would need enough volunteers to welcome people, provide refreshments and give guided tours. I need an idea of how many people would be available. Is it feasible?
